Creating a hypothetical festival for the game “Stardew Valley” centered around the Junimos has been a delightful and creative project for me. I wanted to honor the hard work of these helpful forest spirits, who play a crucial role in restoring the community center, by imagining a festival in their honor. This idea brings an extra layer of immersion and appreciation for the game’s narrative and mechanics.
I named the festival the Feast of Junimos, celebrated every 3rd of Spring. It felt like a thoughtful and engaging way to acknowledge the Junimos’ dedication to maintaining the community center. Choosing the city hall as the festival location was strategic because itโs where the Junimos perform their magic. This spot not only honors their contributions but also provides a change of scenery from the usual festival locations, adding variety and keeping the game experience fresh for players.
CHARACTER DESIGN & POSTER
FESTIVAL
I also created two character designs of Leah and Emily from “Stardew Valley” in my own unique style. For Emily, I depicted her with a playful and confident expression, emphasizing her vibrant personality with bold colors and dynamic brushwork. For Leah, I chose a softer, more introspective look, capturing her artistic spirit with a warm, earthy palette and gentle shading techniques. Experimenting with different brush structures and techniques allowed me to bring out distinct aspects of their characters, showcasing my artistic skills and adding a personal touch to these beloved characters. This creative process was incredibly rewarding and further deepened my connection to the “Stardew Valley” universe.
